You would think that since my Alaskan cruise in June was my fourth time cruising that I would have no problem packing, but it ending up being the most challenging.

My first three cruises were all to tropical destinations so the packing was pretty simple (shorts, bathing suits, dresses, etc) but I had no idea what to pack for a cold weather destination. I mean it has been flip flop and shorts weather here in Dallas for a few months now and Pinterest was surprisingly not much help. I knew the temperature could fluctuate between the lower 40s and mid 70s so I ended up packing a little bit of everything.

Here is my list of things I packed that I found most useful.

  • Rain Jacket | It rained the entire time we were in Juneau while we toured the glacier but thankfully I stayed nice and dry thanks to this jacket.
  • Waterproof Shoes | These Merrell waterproof hiking shoes were a lifesaver. We did an extreme amount of hiking/exploring at each stop and I know my feet would of been in bad shape without them.
  • Yoga Pants | I practically lived in comfy yoga pants and sweaters
